Education Study Groups

Science Topics – Presentation of science topics by members or guest speakers to enhance interest and knowledge.  1st Monday 7:40 p.m.

Literature Study Groups

Book Exchange – Promotes interest in new literature:  each member purchases one book to be circulated on a schedule. No regular meeting.

Modern Literature – Reads and discusses a variety of interesting genres including fiction, nonfiction, biography, history and travel;  the group selects the book to be read and how it will be studied, reviewed, or discussed.  2nd Monday  7:30 p.m.

Interest Groups

Couples Gourmet – Prepares and enjoys gourmet meals; explores food of other cultures; creative cooking group that enjoys the culinary arts.  2nd Friday 7:00 p.m.

Diverse Topics – Members in this group or guest speakers present topics of local and international interest.                                                                         3rd Monday 1:30 p.m.

Mah Jongg – Member enjoy getting together to play mah jongg.                                                         1st and 3rd Monday of each month 1:30 p.m.

Quilting – Explores various quilt patterns and techniques; individual projects of choice as well as a group project; donations of some quilts to local community groups.  4th Tuesday  7 p.m.

Varied Interests – Scotia-Glenville/ Burnt Hills – Studies a variety of subjects and takes occasional field trips.  2nd Thursday  12:30 p.m.
